Statistics Norway has been conducting annual surveys of media use since 1991 (with the exception of 1993). The surveys are financed mainly by the Ministry of Culture. The objective is to map the Norwegian population's use of different mass media.
Below you can find results concerning TV viewing the average day. The data are presented as daily reach in per cent or in viewing time in minutes, and can be broken down by sex, age and education.

In 2020, the survey did not include questions regarding time spent on TV viewing. Data on viewing time in minutes is thus not included in 2020.
Data includes live viewing only. Live online viewing is included from 2008 onwards.
Distribution by education level includes age group 16 to 79 years.
